The tours of the city are all 90 minutes long, although for private tours this can always be adjusted, and within each tour, you will be guided to all of the main sights of the town. We discover the Pultney Bridge (unique), the Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, the Pump Rooms, the Thermae Bath Spa, Queen's Square, the New Theatre Royal, the Circus and of course the famous Royal Crescent. You will discover the history of the city and its sights, but also the many scandals and human stories that are in truth at the heart of Bath's development from a Roman outpost to a bustling modern city. In between these two eras are of course Medieval Bath, full of religion, trade and scandal, and notorious Georgian Bath, famous for its society, Jane Austen but also for its wicked parties, gambling houses and intrigues!
The tours are available on both a public and private basis. Private tours can be arranged for any day of the week throughout the year, at a time to suit you. These tours are available for groups between the sizes of 2 - 40 people, are tailored to your needs and prices begin at just £60, contact us for further details. The public tours operate on a different basis, these are offered every weekend (unless otherwise booked by a private tour), on Saturdays and Sundays between the months of March and October. The actual cost of these tours are up to you, as they operate on a tips only basis, you pay whatever you consider the tour has been worth, sounds fair yes? On each day, the public tours depart from outside the Abbey at 12.30 pm and then again at 3.00pm. As you can imagine, these tours are very popular, so it is always wise to book in advance. During the summer months, these tours are also available on other days of the week, subject to demand.
Private tours are also available throughout the year for groups/families/corporate and hen parties etc, so book up my friends, we all need a bit of Scandal in our lives, huzzah!
